Adjacent to some of Amsterdam’s cultural hotspots, the Conservatorium Hotel began as a bank and soon after a music school. Now the 5-star luxury living room of Amsterdam, and a beloved landmark in the city.
A beautiful historic building in the centre of Amsterdam. The Conservatorium Hotel started as a savings bank back in 1901, afterwards it became the Sweelinck Conservatorium Music School and opened its doors as Conservatorium Hotel end of 2011. Blending historic neo-Gothic architecture with modern, minimalist design, by Italian architect Piero Lissoni, creates a unique style combining both heritage and modernity.
The Conservatorium Hotel consists of 129 rooms and suites, 3 F&B Outlets, 6 Meeting & Events Spaces, and 1000 sqm Akasha Spa & Gym.
From the 1st of April, the Conservatorium Hotel is part of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. In 2025, the Conservatorium Hotel will undergo some soft refurbishments, however, will remain open for the remainder of the year. The Mandarin Hotel Group flag will officially be raised in Q1 2026.
