
The Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) Kampala 2025 Summit, held from January 9 to 11, 2025, at the Speke Resort Convention Centre https://srcc-ug.com/ in Munyonyo, Kampala, marked a significant milestone in Africa's agricultural transformation agenda. This high-level African Union (AU) Extraordinary Summit brought together over 2,000 delegates, including heads of state, ministers, agricultural experts, and key stakeholders from across the continent, to deliberate on strategies for building resilient agri-food systems in Africa. The summit focused on endorsing the draft Kampala CAADP Declaration and approving the Ten-Year CAADP Strategy and Action Plan (2026–2035), aiming to modernize agriculture, promote sustainable economic growth, and achieve shared prosperity across the continent.
