We talked to IMEX speaker Kai Rosenstein, Chief Experience Officer, World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 about Design for Democracy, Atmospheres for a Better Life.
“At World Design Capital (WDC) Frankfurt RheinMain 2026, we believe that design is not just about ideas, but about real action. This makes the IMEX Talking Point Impact 2.0 a perfect match for us because we want to show how design can activate positive change in cities and communities. We see design as a tool to turn values into action and to create a better future for everyone.
Engaging the next generation is at the heart of WDC 2026. We want to inspire young people to see design as a way to shape society and their own future. We agree with IMEX Group on the need for fresh ideas and new perspectives to solve the challenges of tomorrow. That’s why we’re building bridges between generations and making design accessible for all.
Also, design has the power to connect people and create a sense of belonging. Social connection means a lot to us. We’re working on projects that bring communities together and fight loneliness in our cities. Our aim is to create spaces and experiences where everyone feels welcome and included. For example, the Re-Negotiating Space by: Kultur einer Digitalstadt e.V. together with Hortopia asks: How can we fairly consider both nature and humans in urban planning?”
