With celebrity guests including Rob Brydon, Dame Kelly Holmes, Gordon Ramsay and Frankie Bridge
The Savoy, known for attracting celebrities, royals and notable figures for over a century, is launching The Savoy Originals, the first podcast series ever to be released by a luxury hotel, featuring interviews with today’s cultural icons. The first episode drops on Friday 11th April, with weekly releases sponsored by Champagne Laurent-Perrier.
Renowned as the first luxury hotel in London, The Savoy’s innovative and pioneering spirit is reflected by the celebrity guests chosen for each of the eight episodes. From global culinary icon Gordon Ramsay to legendary athlete Dame Kelly Holmes, each guest is an original in their field, carving out a distinctive style and paving the way for future generations. Guests confirmed to date also include actor Rob Brydon, singer Frankie Bridge, model Daisy Lowe, actor Daniel Mays, West End performer Layton Williams and comedian Nick Mohammed.
The Savoy Originals is hosted by Alex Zane, an original in his own right, known as one of the UK’s pre-eminent entertainment presenters. Each week, Zane will get to know his guests from the comfort of The Savoy’s luxury suites, setting the stage for confessions and revelations about the defining moments of their careers.
In the first episode, Rob Brydon, one of the most well-known faces on British television, discusses his early struggles in the entertainment industry, highlighting the persistence, support, and passion that ultimately led to his success.
In the following episode, listeners can hear Gordon Ramsay, who operates three restaurants at The Savoy, discuss the secret to staying ahead in a rapidly evolving industry and thriving in one of the most competitive and demanding professions in the world.
