A colourful range of activities will help the FCB to create special Frankfurt moments and memories during the fair – running from 20th to 22nd May 2025 – both on and off the fairgrounds.
Offering a number of specially selected promotions, the FCB will be presenting to an international audience not only Frankfurt’s expansive event infrastructure, but also its quality of life, its creativity, and its social responsibility. Frankfurt is cultured, cosmopolitan, socially engaged and highly diversified. It is this side of the metropolis on the River Main that Jutta Heinrich’s team of industry professionals and their regional partners will be putting on show during the fair.
Social responsibility and you: Postcards for a good cause
Fair visitors are encouraged to stop by the FrankfurtRhineMain Stand F110 in Hall 8 and, amongst other things, write a few special Frankfurt postcards to colleagues, friends and family back home – with the FCB picking up the postage. For every postcard sent, the FCB will donate € 2.50 to the Praunheimer Werkstätten, a recognised Frankfurt handcrafts workshop employing disabled persons. Small measures such as these actively involve trade show guests in promoting local creativity and social engagement.
Experiencing Frankfurt: Exclusive offers for IMEX attendees
To ensure that every visitor’s stay in Frankfurt remains memorable beyond their trade show experience, the FCB is teaming up with local partners to put on offer a very attractive social programme.
From 17th to 19th May and from 23rdto 25th May, IMEX attendees will be able to discover Frankfurt by way of a free “Hop On–Hop Off” city bus tour. This offer will not be available on the actual trade show dates (20th to 22nd May); however, on the three days before and after the fair, visitors will have the chance to discover the riverside metropolis from an open-top double-decker bus. Best of all, passengers may “hop off” the bus at various stops and continue their explorations on foot, with the option of hopping back on the bus at a later time. These “Hop On-Hop” Off busses will be running from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The ticket vouchers are available free of charge at the Tourist Information Office Römer in the city’s historical old town centre and at the Frankfurt Information Counter in Hall 9 on the Messe Frankfurt fairgrounds.
The offers don’t end here, either. Upon presentation of their IMEX badge, fair attendees will also be offered discounts on TimeRide Frankfurt, which uses virtual-reality technology to take guests back in time to the Frankfurt of the age of emperors. The Primus Line, meanwhile, will also be offering discounts on various river cruises. Whether you decide to come aboard for a daytime panorama cruise, or an evening skyline tour, the views from Frankfurt’s majestic River Main show the city from an entirely different perspective.
Tips from those who know best – digital and personal
Those interested in more will find an interactive [KP1] Frankfurt map on the official IMEX website, replete with personal recommendations provided by staff members of the Frankfurt Convention Bureau, the German Convention Bureau, Messe Frankfurt and the IMEX fair – covering everything from culinary highlights to insiders’ tips for recreational activities.
The FCB team will of course be available to you prior to the fair as well as on site, offering local knowledge, individual restaurant recommendations and valuable tips for your fringe programme.
