Christoph Tessmar was born in Heidelberg, Germany, on May 3, 1964.
He began his career in the pharmaceutical industry at Boehringer Mannheim, where he worked in Germany and Barcelona. In 1999, he joined Sanofi-Aventis, where he established the congress department for the Spanish branch. In 2012, he took over as director of the Barcelona Convention Bureau and served as president of the Iberian Chapter of ICCA from 2019 to 2023.
Since November 2023, he has been the European regional representative on the ICCA Board of Directors.
