Simon Garrett - MD X-Venture Global Risk Solutions
Simon Garrett is an event safety and security specialist. A former operations director of a major London exhibitions and events venue he has worked with most of the major UK based exhibition and event companies and has been a leading provider of event specialist health, safety and security training in the UK and internationally. As well as UK events, Simon has worked at major events in Europe, Russia, US, Middle East, Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia and China. Previously he had a military career and on leaving the army joined P&O as a security consultant. Simon continued his service with the Army Reserve, specializing in intelligence analysis and retiring with the rank of Colonel in 2015. Simon is a Chartered Fellow of both the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, and the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management.
Simon is married to Kitty and has three adult children, one of whom, Jeremy, an engineer, now also works in the business specializing in event structures.
