About the Moderator

Gemmeke de Jongh heads content and events for ICCA, connecting the global association meetings industry and supporting members to stay informed and adaptable. Based in Brussels, she brings strong knowledge of EU tourism and culture policy, advocates for the sector regionally, and manages ICCAUni’s academic community network.

With more than 15 years' experience, Gemmeke co-developed a methodology for lasting congress impact and launched the International Alliance for Impact (IAI) with Visit Flanders Convention Bureau to promote purposeful event legacy.

She also works on BEFuture, an EU project supported by the European Commission, focused on transforming the European business events sector over three years.
