Countdown and action! 2.1 seconds or less – that’s how long a perfect pit stop takes in Formula One. All four wheels are changed during this time, and the driver is back in the race. Every move is perfectly choreographed, because an outstanding team performance is crucial for success. Visitors to the Mercedes‑Benz Museum can now experience this for themselves at the new “Pit Stop” station in the racing curve in Legends room 7 – on their own or in a team.
The “Pit stop” in Legend Room 7: Silver Arrows – Races and Records is a unique event highlight that can be additionally booked for up to 45 minutes and a maximum of 100 guests. As part of a team challenge, participants can change actual Formula 1 tyres against the clock. Lightning-fast reflexes are needed at the reaction wall.
