The Cairns Convention Centre is an award‑winning venue located where the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics Rainforest meet. Designed for conferences of up to 2,500 delegates, the Centre features versatile contemporary spaces tailored to a wide range of program formats.
The 2,300‑seat Auditorium is ideal for major plenary sessions and can be divided into smaller configurations to suit varied program requirements. The Arena, accommodating up to 5,000 guests, is suited to exhibitions, large plenaries and gala dinners. Additional plenary capacity is provided by the 440‑seat flat‑floor Plenary on the Mezzanine level, supported by naturally lit meeting rooms and flexible exhibition area for breakout sessions, workshops and concurrent streams. For generations, the Department of Education building in Sydney’s Sandstone Precinct stood quietly, its golden facade forming an unassuming backdrop to the rhythm of the city. Originally designed by architect George McRae in the early 1900s, the building has been meticulously restored and reimagined by Pontiac Land in collaboration with Make Architects.

The NTBESF prioritises consideration for business events that align with the Northern Territory’s economic and social strengths however, those from other sectors that can demonstrate significant flow-on benefits to the community are considered.
