Nordic Hotel Forum is the first hotel in Tallinn to introduce urban beekeeping in the city centre, bringing sustainability directly into the hotel environment. As a Green Key certified hotel, environmental responsibility is an integral part of daily operations. The rooftop beehives are a natural extension of this commitment, supporting biodiversity in an urban setting. Today, six hives with more than 360,000 bees operate on the hotel rooftop, contributing to a healthier local ecosystem. Bees play an essential role in pollination and biodiversity, and this initiative demonstrates how a city-centre hotel can actively support a more sustainable urban environment.
Honey produced directly from our rooftop hives is served to guests at breakfast, offering a genuine local product with a clear connection to the hotel’s sustainability efforts.
