David discovered his passion for events while studying history and politics at university, and promoting and managing music events in Dundee, Scotland. He went on to earn an MSc in Marketing & Event Management from Edinburgh Napier University, which led him into the business events sector.
For nearly two years, David has been part of the VisitScotland Business Events team, where he leads on trade event marketing and supports the delivery of the team's strategic initiatives, including the Journey to Change campaign and social media communications.
He has built strong relationships with Scottish university event management programs and actively champions the business events industry as an exciting and rewarding career path for students and emerging talent.
