Roger has developed brands and campaigns for tourism, economic development, transportation, utilities and education clients.
He spent eight years leading the Place Practice for international, brand consultancy, Heavenly. He is now an independent consultant and speaker as well as Associate Partner at Heavenly. He has developed marketing and strategies for places including: West Midlands (UK), Atlantic Arc, Wiltshire, Cardiff and Manhattan West.
Other related projects include Great West Way, a new flagship tourism corridor between London and Bristol; Celtic Routes, a destination campaign linking six counties in Ireland and Wales; and Belfast Grand Central Station.
Roger’s campaigns have won numerous national and international awards, including Travel and Tourism Campaign of the Year at the Chartered Institute of Marketing Travel Awards on three separate occasions.
Roger is Joint Editor of Destination Branding, the original book on place marketing and branding. He has also spoken at international events and conferences in the US, Lithuania, Serbia, Spain, Macau, Slovenia, Cape Verde, France, Netherlands, Argentina and Belgium.
