With over two decades of experience in the meetings and events industry , Kleopatra Giatsou is a seasoned professional with expertise in congress management and international event coordination . She holds a bachelor’s in Marketing Management and a degree in Project Management. Following her studies, she gained hands-on experience working for six years in the pharma sector, four years in the public relations sector before joining the inspiring world of the meetings and events industry.
She currently leads the Operations Team, from the position of the Director at AFEA Congress - a leading Professional Congress Organiser (PCO) based in Athens, Greece - where she was promoted since 2023, following her performance as Congress Manager and before that Senior Project Manager, a journey lasting 10 years in the company. Formerly she was a Project Manager at PCO company C&C International organizing national and international events in Greece.
Kleopatra has a proven track record in delivering exceptional services to both association and corporate clients fostering long term partnerships in Greece but also worldwide. A dedicated leader, she excels in team management and consistently drives operational excellence across AFEA’s diverse portfolio of events. She is married to Theodore since 2004 and together they have a passionate 15 year old teenager, Eva.
