Johanna is a high-energy event manager, association leader and well-being consultant on a mission to embed well-being into every aspect of (event) life—from teams and timelines to venues and the full attendee experience.
She leads the largest team at the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA), overseeing most of the organization’s operations and its flagship conference with over 2,200 participants.
With over 15 years’ global event experience across formats and sectors, Johanna brings industry insight together with her lifelong passion for well-being. A former international school well-being representative and long-time yoga and wellness business owner, she is a certified Mental Health First Aider, Instructor and internationally recognized coach.
She is the creator of the first CPD-certified Mental Wellbeing Certification for Event Professionals, a practical course designed for teams, venues, agencies and freelancers who want to build healthier, more sustainable ways of working in the fast-paced event world.
Johanna also founded the Event Managers Exchange, a global, sales-free mastermind community for event professionals to connect, share and grow together. She mentors through Elevate and BEFuture and is a regular speaker at industry events including IMEX, PCMA, ICCA and ESAE.
