With a career spanning over 15 years across association, business event and destination management, Tara Miller is dedicated to elevating Washington, DC as a premier global destination for meetings and conventions. As Director of Global Sales at Destination DC, she leads international sales, marketing, business development and strategic initiatives, including Washington, DC’s Ambassador Circle and International Business Events Council.

Tara played a pivotal role in launching Destination DC’s international convention sales program and returned in 2017 to further expand its global reach. Her career has taken her across key sectors of the industry, from securing sponsorships at MCI USA for the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) to supporting corporate events and incentive travel at Cohera (formerly CSI DMC), a leading event and destination management firm.

As the meetings industry continues to evolve, Tara remains a champion for the economic and social impact of international events, forging connections that bring lasting value to Washington, DC's local community and global partners.
